Application Instructions
Yorktown Christian Academy welcomes your application. Please read the following steps carefully before returning the completed application packet. The Admission Packet is available online and contains the following items:

- Application for Admission Form - Parents complete and sign, returning to YCA along with the non-refundable $150 registration fee. You may schedule an interview after completing this form.
- Education Agreement - Parents complete and sign, returning to YCA.
- Student Honor Code - For elementary and middle school students to review with parents, sign, returning to YCA.
- Authorization to Release Reference Information - Parents complete and sign, returning to YCA.
- Emergency Authorization/Field Trip Permission - Parents complete and sign, returning to YCA.
- Permission to Release Student Records - Parents complete, sign, and forward to the applicant's current school.
- Teacher Evaluation of Student - Give the evaluation form to the applicant's current teacher along with a stamped envelope addressed to Yorktown Christian Academy.
- Pastoral Reference Form - Give the reference form to the applicant's pastor along with a stamped envelope addressed to Yorktown Christian Academy.
- Family Reference Form - Give the reference form to two (2) non-family adults outside of the school setting along with a stamped envelope addressed to Yorktown Christian Academy.
- Race/Ethnicity Reporting Form - Updated to meet current federal government requirements.
- Tuition Contract - Parents complete and sign, returning to YCA.
- Bank Draft Agreement - Parents complete and sign, returning to YCA.
- Supporting Documents - These documents provide you with the information referenced in the Parent Agreement and other forms for your future use.

If you have obtained this packet electronically, it is requested that these forms be completed on your computer, printed, signed, and mailed to YCA at the above address. You may also scan the signed documents as pdf documents and email them to the Admissions Office. Please verify the quality of your scanned documents before sending them to us. Receipt of the forms will be acknowledged to the sender’s email address.
In addition to your admissions packet forms, the following items are needed:

- Immunization Records
- Last Report Card (if applicable)
- Last Standardized Test Scores (if applicable)

These documents may also be scanned and emailed to the Admissions Office.
Encryption Available: For additional security, you may encrypt your documents when sending them to YCA. Send a message to the Admissions Office, requesting a digital certificate. The YCA administrator will send you a digitally signed message which you may save and use to encrypt documents to YCA.
Interview
After receipt of the Application for Admission, an interview will be arranged to meet with the parents and the applicant. This interview is an important part of the admissions process and an opportunity to get to know the student and his/her family better. It also provides an opportunity for the student and family to ask questions regarding YCA. The entire admissions process is designed to determine if YCA can best serve the needs of the student and to encourage the right fit between the school and your family.
Acceptance Process
Upon completion of the interview, a family may be accepted subject to properly submitting the remaining Admission Forms. Admitance of new students is conditional based on the ability of the school to provide an adequate number of classes to match the need while maintaining an appropriate teacher-student ratio.
