Alissa has joined our YCA work family this year to serve as our Student Activities Director. Her goal is to increase engagement and branding for YCA by helping increase student activities on campus and expand community awareness through social media and partnerships.
She has been a YCA parent and room mom since 2013. She is a mother of three children that all attend the school, so you will see her also serve as a Classroom Coordinator and cheering her children on at their sport games
Alissa is a member of Yorktown Baptist Church where she led the Mothers of Preschoolers Program (MOPs) for three years and worked as the church receptionist before joining YCA. Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Earth Sciences and Master’s degree in Elementary Education.
Alissa and her husband Bret have been owners of multiple businesses in the Coastal Bend and continue to serve the community in various volunteer organizations. Alissa has been a member of the Junior League of Corpus Christi for 20 years and also volunteers with Driscoll Children’s Hospital, Young Life Corpus Christi and wherever else she is called to. She sees volunteerism as an opportunity to shine God’s light to others in need. Her ministry is to be the hands and feet of Jesus!
