Katrina Wranosky has been teaching at YCA since 2005 and has over eight years of teaching experience. She holds a Masters of Education in Reading Education from Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi. She also holds a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas-Brownsville and is certified with a Generalist Early Childhood – K-8th grade with a major in Reading and a minor in History. She also is certified to teach Bilingual Education and ESL, K-8th grade. While in college working on her undergraduate degree, she was certified to tutor college students. She began working in the Brownsville public school district as a second grade bilingual teacher, both in a traditional bilingual setting as well as a dual language program.
She was born to missionary parents and raised in Quito, Ecuador. She grew up attending private Christian schools until she moved with her family to Brownsville, Texas in 1991, she then attended James Pace public high school. She is a strong supporter of a Christ-based education and providing students with opportunities to serve in missions around the world. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, scrap booking, and traveling on mission trips.
Katrina married J.T. Wranosky, a wonderful servant-hearted man, on June 27, 2015. She is excited to see how God will further His kingdom and glorify Himself in her marriage.
