Missions at Yorktown Christian Academy
It is our belief at YCA that a biblical worldview results in a global perspective. We want to reach people for Christ in our local communities and around the world. We operate through strategic partnerships with other like-minded organizations and churches. There is no better reward we can give our students than working side-by-side serving others.
YCA partners with STCH Ministries for our Family Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic. This trip provides eighth graders and their families a chance to be the hands and feet of Jesus overseas. Students and families typically minister through various activities, such as construction, teaching in schools, and organizing children's programs, such as vacation bible school. The goal is to offer practical help while also fostering relationships with the people, sharing encouragement and faith. Beyond the work itself, mission trips often include time for reflection, spiritual growth, and cultural exchange, making it a transformative experience both for the participants and the communities they serve.
