Our Purpose

Yorktown Christian Academy is a Christ-centered school established to provide a thorough academic education built upon a biblical worldview, assisting parents in the education of their children, and integrating biblical faith with academic excellence, while challenging students to reach their highest potential for the glory of Jesus Christ.

The goal of the Yorktown Christian Academy Standardized Dress Code is to honor God in our outward appearance. Additionally, the YCA dress code seeks to promote school pride and to encourage a personal sense of belonging to a school that sets high moral and academic expectations. The dress code applies to all student activities both on and off campus (i.e. sporting events, school programs, etc.). It is difficult for a dress code to be entirely comprehensive; therefore, YCA retains the right to determine the appropriateness of every student’s dress and amend the dress code as deemed necessary. Polo shirts and solid color bottoms of any color are to be worn by every student. Students may wear YCA Spirit Wear on Fridays.

YCA strives to keep parents and students informed at all levels.

Email, the school website, and ParentSquare are used to communicate to parents and students. Information about the current school year as well as policies and procedures can be found on the school website.
Daily folders as well as graded paper packets may include class and school-wide information for elementary students.
Grades/Homework: YCA communicates this information via FACTS and your Family Portal. Parents/Guardians should supply YCA with an up-to-date e-mail address and cell phone number for communication purposes.
