Established in 1994 by members of Yorktown Baptist Church, the goal of YCA is to provide Christian families throughout the community with a Christ-centered educational experience. In 2002, YCA incorporated as an independent Christian school carrying out the mission for new generations. YCA has families representing more than 35 different churches.

Yorktown Christian Academy is a Christ-centered school dedicated to providing a thorough academic education built upon a biblical worldview, assisting parents in the education of their children, and integrating biblical faith with academic excellence. YCA challenges students to reach their highest potential for the glory of Jesus Christ.

Rummage Sale

August
YCA hosts a 2-day community wide rummage sale to raise funds for our annual 8th grade mission trip. All leftover items are donated to area non-profits to help make a greater impact beyond our event.

Laps For Learning

November
Students raise funds for our school by seeking sponsors to help support them while they run laps on our main event day. This event always has a special component to thank and honor our Veterans. Money raised supports our Lions Fund

Lions Run 5K/10K & Pancake Breakfast

February
Our annual race is a large public event with more than 300 runners & 200 patrons attending. The event also includes a pancake breakfast and raffle for all. Money raised supports our Lions Fund.

Community Service

YCA requires all 1st-8th grade students to complete 15 hours of community service in one school year. Families are also expected to help serve 15 hours at school to support fundraisers and classroom assistance. This is to help instill servant leadership opportunities and comradery amongst the school.

YCA’s Helping Hands Program consists of quarterly school-wide service projects that involve all students from PreK-8th to help community partners or global missions.

Global Missions

Each year, YCA supports Operation Christmas Child through a school-wide project as a way to support children abroad. Students love to see where their boxes are sent so they can pray specifically for children in that country.

YCA 8th grade students and families attend an annual mission trip to the Dominican Republic in partnership with STCH Ministries.

Partnerships

YCA supports many local non-profits and often partners with them for service projects, including Agape Ranch, STCH Ministries, Station Church and more.

YCA also loves partnering with businesses and educational programs to have guest speakers in the classroom or at chapel.

Sponsor A Student - Change a Life

Become a Patron

We have some great families who want their kids to have a Christian education, but simply cannot afford it. Many are single Moms who are doing their best to raise godly kids. If you would like to sponsor a specific student, contact the school administrator. We will prayerfully match you up with a student whose life will be changed because of your help. We would expect a minimum of one year commitment, but multi-year commitments are also welcomed. Donors will remain anonymous unless they decide to involve themselves in the life of the student and their family.

Yorktown Christian Academy is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations to the Tuition Assistance Program or the Sponsor A Student Program are tax-deductible.
