Ministry Careers at YCA
Your interest in Yorktown Christian Academy is appreciated. A teacher at YCA is one who has a sense that teaching is God's calling in life, teaching in a Christian school is His direction, and teaching at YCA is His placement. Below you will find some important information regarding our school beliefs and some of our standards.

Openings
We accept applications for teachers at any time throughout the year. If you would like to send us your information for possible consideration, we are open to receiving it. Start by downloading the Employment Application form at the bottom of this page. Complete the application, if you are interested, and send it to us.

Our Purpose
Yorktown Christian Academy is a Christ-centered school established to provide a thorough academic education built upon a biblical worldview, assisting parents in the education of their children, and integrating biblical faith with academic excellence, while challenging students to reach their highest potential for the glory of Jesus Christ.

Our Mission
The mission of Yorktown Christian Academy is to equip students to become Christ-centered servant leaders in our community and around the world.

Statement of Faith

Attendance Requirement
Employees with school-aged children are expected to enroll those students in YCA. Exceptions may be made for students with special educational needs. Employee tuition assistance is available for full-time employees.

Conditions of Employment
Employment at Yorktown Christian Academy is open to qualified individuals who are Christians of good character. Yorktown Christian Academy does not discriminate in employment, or in the terms or conditions of employment, on the basis of race, sex, national or ethnic origin, color, age, or disability. Yorktown Christian Academy is a religious educational ministry, and as such, utilizes religion as an employment criteria. All prospective and current employees must agree with Yorktown Christian Academy’s mission statement, and they must be willing to conduct their lives in conformity with the school’s statement of faith and the school’s declaration and agreement to ethical and moral integrity, serving as a Christian role model.

Basic Requirements for Teaching Positions at YCA

  • Hold at least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university
  • Hold a valid teaching certificate (not necessarily issued by the State of Texas) and/or be willing to apply for ACSI certification, and
  • Be interviewed and deemed qualified by the Administrator

Substitute Teachers

If you are interested in being a substitute teacher, please complete the employment application below. There is generally an ongoing need for substitute teachers.
